Now, I can really say that I'm from the City of Seven Lakes. I've seen them all. Yes, all 7 of them. And I now have an idea where Sabang, Carmelite and San Lucas are. Hahaha!:) I am from here but I'm not well acquainted with the place. Yesterday, I joined the "7 Lakes yada" for college students. I'm not part of the college faculty but I just thought of joining.:) From the school, we went to Sampalok Lake and then to Bunot Lake... by foot! Oh, it wasn't that bad. It actually did me good. It helped me visualize how the places are connected to each other. Plus, I got to exercise without really having to walk aimlessly/ for the sake of going round the lake. Among the 7, I particularly like Pandin Lake. It's a beauty. I want to have a place by the lake. I love the view and I enjoy the thought of just hanging around, munching on my chips, riding on a balsa, or sitting down under a tree. It sounds sureal for me. It's a good getaway from work.:)
According to the legend, Yambo and Pandin were lovers. We were among the first to get to Pandin yesterday. Wow, there's the lake, there's Pandin! Then the guide led us to a narrow path, which was almost covered by rocks and the tall grasses to match. I thought he was just leading us to a wider lake front. But no! he brought us all the way to Yambo Lake. "Parang ang layo naman. Where is he bringing us kaya? Baka we're not supposed to go here." Tadah! This is Yambo Lake blahblah... "Kaya pala ang layo, Yambo na pala 'to. Kung ako si Yambo, hindi ko na pupuntahan si Pandin, ang layo!" "Hehehe! Long-distance relationship!:)"
The name of Lake Mojicap came from Monica, a girl who was masikap (diligent?).
Sir Kiko: Ang pangalan ng lawa ay nanggaling sa pangalang Monica, isang babaeng masipag (instead of masikap).
Me: Monipag!?:) Hehehe!:)
Hmm... I'll be visiting the 7 lakes again next Saturday.:) I hope it would be at least as fun as yesterday's trip.:)
